Who am I?

My name is Emma – that seems like a reasonable place to start. I’m a mum, a teacher, a home cook and everything else that the modern woman needs to be. (That pretty much sums me up haha).

I started my journey into motherhood in 2019 and safe to say it hasn’t been easy! I’ve faced many challenges since falling pregnant – most of which have been inside my own head.

I found that I stopped being me. I was now only a mum. I had become obsessed with being the perfect parent and forgot who I was. That’s when I decided that I needed to go back to being me, just me that was now a mum.

Pre-motherhood, I loved to cook and bake. I also loved to craft. I made the decision that I needed to make time to do those things again. The problem with crafts is that I wasn’t able to do them while Robyn was awake, and by the time she went to bed I was too tired to do anything. Then, when we embarked on the journey into weaning, up popped the perfect opportunity to do something I love, whilst being productive at the same time!

So here it is; a record of my recipes and other successes on my journey into the ever changing and ever challenging world of being a mum.

What should I cook next?
